In a short period, musical multitalent Tariq Pijning became one of the biggest upcoming saxophone players in the Dance industry worldwide. Being only in his early twenties, Tariq already became an indispensable name among live acts. With his smooth melodies and spot-on timing, Tariq is one of the few saxophone players who exactly know what it takes to lift the musical quality to a higher level. Since he joined forces with Dutch superstar Sam Feldt in 2016, both on stage and in the studio, Tariq found himself maintaining an astonishing international tour schedule, playing sold-out shows at the biggest clubs and festivals around the world, including stages like the mainstage of both Ultra Miami and Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Mysteryland and many more.
Besides playing the saxophone, Tariq proves to have a hidden talent for producing and composing as well. In 2015 Tariq got his first official release on Sony Music, remixing Dutch singer VanVelzen's "Call it Luck". Since his collaboration with Sam Feldt, he also has been busy writing melodies for songs like "Where's My Love" and recording sax parts for hits like "Sensational" and "Gold". In the meanwhile Tariq started producing for other projects as well. Since the beginning of 2019 he has been focussing a lot on his act with Dutch DJ Danny da Costa, producing tracks for their live set as "Danny & Tariq”. Also solo, Tariq is making huge steps, with his biggest achievement being an official release for EDM superstar Kygo, remixing his hit “Stargazing” into an 80s ballad. 2020 could not kick off any better than this track hitting 1 million streams within a week. With many new songs on the horizon, this year will be all about sharing and releasing more personal music and collaborating with other talents, so you can enjoy Tariq’s music anywhere.
